Clontarf Foundation

The Clontarf Foundation supports young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men, one of Australia’s most at-risk groups, through a holistic program centred on education, employment, leadership, wellbeing and sport.

The Foundation’s innovative model encourages the development of values, skills and confidence, enabling participants to pursue meaningful employment, engage positively with society and achieve improved life outcomes.

Locally based Clontarf staff provide consistent mentoring and guidance, helping participants navigate behavioural and lifestyle challenges. Schools partner with Clontarf to deliver tailored educational support, while academy activities focus on building resilience, self-esteem and a sense of purpose. Through these efforts, participants are encouraged to embrace more disciplined, healthy and goal-oriented lifestyles.

In 2025, Clontarf operates 164 academies across six states and territories, supporting over 12,000 young men, including 1,000 Year 12s. Since 2000, more than 8,000 participants have completed Year 12, demonstrating the program’s powerful impact on transforming lives and supporting long term success.
